Fondren Library has a VCR, located on Fondren Blue 1.  Faculty can place VHS videos on reserve, allowing students to watch them as is convenient.

Please speak to your subject librarian about acquiring DVD to replace VHS titles. Not all VHS titles are available and affordable in DVD format. Your subject librarian can also help identify videos to replace or supplement the titles that may become obsolete due to format.

The library does have equipment that converts VHS to DVD. We cannot offer this as a service for a personal VHS collection. Due to copyright concerns, any converted VHS tapes and the resulting DVDs become part of the library's collection.

We subscribe to several streaming media services [see: guides.smu.edu/fondrenmedia].  It may be possible to find the films (or suitable substitutions) in one of these collections. In the case of Digital Campus, arrangements would have to be made each semester to subscribe to the title.
