Oral histories are held by two libraries on campus. Most of the collections are located in the DeGolyer Library. The largest collection was compiled by Ron Davis of the History Department and includes interviews with people in the Hollywood film industry. Other oral history recordings can be found in the SMU Archives, the Maura McNiel collection (interviews and programs with notable twentieth-century feminists), the Stanley Marcus collection, the J.C. Penney collection, the Belo archives, and the Horton Foote collection. Hamon Arts Library has a small uncataloged collection of oral histories at the G. William Jones Film and Video Collection.
