It is possible to find articles and abstracts through Google or other sites, but in many cases this link will lead you to a publisher's site (i.e. ScienceDirect). If you are off campus, the journal publisher will not know that you have access to SMU's subscription. Therefore, you should access articles through the library's website when you are not on campus. Enter your SMU ID and password when prompted.
If you know exactly which journal you want, the surest way of getting access is by typing the name of the journal in the library catalog using the basic search, specifying "journal title" in the drop-down menu to the right.
Alternatively, you can go to the Journal A-Z List, and then either browse for your journal's name by the first letter of the title or searching for the title in the search box.
