To ascertain the availability of theses and dissertations, the best place to look is a library database called Dissertations & Theses.
This database includes citations for over 2.3 million dissertations and theses from around the world, ranging from 1861 to those accepted last semester. Dissertations published from 1980 forward include 350-word abstracts; master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. Where available, twenty-four page previews are provided. In addition, more than 750,000 are available for download in PDF format.
Search using the author's name, key words from the title, or the general subject area.
Here's an another way to get to this database if you are starting from the Central University Libraries' homepage, https://sites.smu.edu/cul/.
