- You can come to the library and retrieve the book from the shelves yourself. Library staff are available to help you find it if you experience difficulties. If you have any questions, you should Ask a Librarian online or in person at the Fondren Library Main Desk. After you have the book in hand, you will take it to the Main Desk along with your SMU ID. Circulation staff will assist you in checking out the book.
- SMU Community members can request that the book be pulled and ready for you to check out at the Main desk. Click on "Request Pick Up or Scan" in the item record in the library catalog. Fill out the form. The library will contact you when the item is ready for pick up.
* If you are an off-campus student, we offer special services to send you the books that you need. SMU-in-Plano Library Services is available for SMU-in-Plano students. Services for other distance students (e.g. School of Engineering Distance/Video students, SMU doctoral students finishing their dissertation from a distance, etc.) are available from the Library Services page.
